Even a system just 2 years old can quietly circulate dirty air. Here’s a Fujitsu mini-split we serviced in Sonoma County after the owners noticed low airflow and frosting — despite cleaning the filters themselves.

AC Unit in Disrepair

A 2-year-old Fujitsu mini-split, no professional maintenance. The owners cleaned the air filters, but it still wasn’t enough — we received a service call because the AC was frosting up with low air flow.

Cleaning the Evaporator Coil

The evaporator coil was carefully exposed and cleaned with blown air and a coil brush. Dirt was embedded deeply in the coil of this 2-year-old unit — even with a newer system, professional maintenance is essential in a challenging environment.

Cleaning the Blower Wheel

After carefully disassembling the system, we reached the blower wheel — caked with dirt. Had the owners not called in time, this machine would have stopped working completely. A machine this filthy isn’t blowing clean air into your home, it’s blowing dirty air.

Back in Proper Working Order

It takes about an hour to disassemble and reassemble the system — blower assembly and evaporator coil both cleaned. This Fujitsu mini-split is now ready to work properly and efficiently, the way it was designed to.

Dirt embedded deep in the coil and blower wheel doesn’t just hurt performance — it means your system is blowing dirty air, not clean air. Regular professional maintenance protects both.
